YRC Logistics to Work on Toromocho Copper Mine

YRC Logistics has secured a three-year service agreement with Minera Chinalco Peru for logistics activities to support construction of the Toromocho copper molybdenum open pit mine located near Lima, Peru.

Annual copper production at the mine is expected to be 273,000t, leading to a 25% rise in copper output in the region.

The company will manage purchase orders, transportation, customs brokerage, international freight forwarding, warehousing and delivery to the job site.

YRC will manage the project with the help of its Lima, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, European and Chinese offices.
