First Uranium has resumed operations at its Ezulwini mine in Gauteng Province, South Africa, after a fatality occurred at the mine last week.

First Uranium CEO Gordon Miller said the Department of Mineral Resources had completed its investigation.

On 17 September, mine operations were suspended following the death of a worker due to a fall-of-ground incident while installing permanent supports in a stope on the 45 level of the Middle Elsburg reef horizon, miningweekly.com reports.

The Middle Elsburg reef is the gold and uranium ore body at the Ezulwini mine.
