Engineering company Decmil Australia has won a $57m design and construction contract for the new Port Haven accommodation village in Port Hedland, Western Australia.

Under the terms of the deal, offered by mining giant BHP Billiton, Decmil will build civil and infrastructure works along with 350 accommodation rooms at the site located in the Pilbara region.

The contract comes as Decmil plans to book about $160m-worth of orders in the financial year 2010, the company said.
