Galaxy Resources has started a definitive feasibility study (DFS) on the James Bay Spodumene project in Quebec, Canada.
According to the memorandum of understanding signed with Lithium One, Galaxy Resources has acquired an initial 20% equity interest in James Bay and has the potential to earn 70% through the funding and completion of a DFS.
The James Bay project is an extensive, high-grade spodumene pegmatite deposit and has the potential to significantly add to Galaxy’s considerable resource base and lithium supply.
The project comprises of a mine, processing plant and battery-grade lithium carbonate plant.
Galaxy Resources has engaged DRA Americas to work on the James Bay processing plant design
component of the DFS.
Engineering services consultancy Genivar has been appointed to manage the DFS.
