Cimeco bags EPC contract for Solomon project

Fortescue Metal Group Solomon has awarded a $200m engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Forge Group's subsidiary Cimeco for primary crushing hubs.

Fortescue Metal Group Solomon has awarded a $200m engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Forge Group ‘s subsidiary Cimeco for primary crushing hubs.

The scope of work will include engineering, procurement and construction of three primary crushing hubs for Fortescue’s T155 project in the Pilbara, Western Austraila

Engineering and fabrication of structural steel has commenced and mobilisation has begun.

Forge Group has also developed the construction methodology and schedule through consultation with Fortescue and subcontractor partners.

The work is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter 2012.
