Aquila Resources has been granted a mining lease for the Eagle Downs hard coking coal project in Central Queensland, Australia.
The project, approved by the Queensland Government, involves the construction, development and operation of an underground longwall hard coking coal mine in the Bowen Basin.
The mine will produce an average of 4.5Mtpa of hard coking coal over the first ten years of production.
The construction of the project will commence, subject to the joint venture participant approval of the mine development and associated construction costs.
