WorleyParsons’ subsidiary WorleyParsonsCord has received a contract to engineer and build tailings treatment facilities at the Syncrude Aurora Mine in Alberta, Canada.

The contract is valued at C$600m (US$582.4m).

WorleyParsonsCord will provide engineering, procurement and construction for tailings treatment facilities at the mine.

Work will soon begin and is scheduled for completion in mid-2013.
