Metals recovery and technologies firm Catalyst Resource Group has completed construction of its laboratory and recovery facility in California, US.

The facility consists of commercial equipment along with proprietary processing and separation apparatus and an advanced ICP spectrometer, which is capable of analysing and assaying samples for gold and platinum group metals.

The project will begin recovering platinum group metals from its Beluga mining properties in Alaska.

The facility is expected to recover $12m worth of precious metals in the first year of operations.

Catalyst Resource is also in the final stage of negotiations to purchase a ten-acre facility located in Nevada, US, to increase recovery output by a factor of 20.
