L&L Energy has entered into two purchase contracts with China-based Kunming Iron & Steel Group (KISC) to supply a total of 700,000t of coal.
Under the first purchase contract, L&L will sell KISC 300,000t of coal mined from its Chinese operation, through its subsidiary KMC, for a period of one year.
Under the second contract, L&L will sell an additional 400,000t of coal from its US operation when the coal is available.
The value of the contracts has not been disclosed.
L&L Energy currently operates Dapuan and Sutsong Mines in Yunnan Province of China, which generate about 250,000t of coal per year.
The firm also operates Bowie Mine in Colorado, US.
