Curis Resources has awarded a contract to M3 Engineering to conduct a feasibility level study on final design, engineering, capital and operating costs for the Florence copper project in Arizona, US.

Under the contract M3 Engineering will develop a detailed report on the capital and operating costs required to develop and run the project over an operating life span of 19 years.

The firm completed a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) on the project in September 2010.

Curis Resources’ president and CEO Michael McPhie said the PEA has indicated that the project has robust economics and a sound development plan.

“It is our objective to continue to lower the risks involved in the project by taking the engineering to the next level. Moving ahead to a feasibility level assessment with the M3 team is an important step in maintaining the overall schedule for project development,” said McPhie.
