Brazilian mining firm Vale has achieved net earnings of $17.3bn for 2010 and net earnings of $5.9bn in the fourth quarter.
The firm has generated record operating revenue of $15.2bn in the fourth quarter of 2010, with total revenue for 2010 reaching $46.5bn.
Operating income for the firm reached $7.2bn with operational margin at 48% and net earnings of $5.9bn in the fourth quarter of 2010.
The firm invested a $19.4bn in 2010 including $12.7bn on exploration of existing assets and $6.7bn on acquisitions.
Vale delivered six projects in 2010 including additional the TKCSA steel slab plant, Bayóvar phosphate rock mine, TresValles copper operation, Onça Puma ferronickel operation, and Oman iron ore pellet operation.
