Strategic Mining has obtained an expanded exploration licence for its Nat Son gold property in Vietnam.

The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh Province awarded the licence after geology reports indicated the presence of gold and silver bearing quartz-arsenopyrite veins within underground mine workings.

The firm said it was also granted special ‘no tax status’ for all imported mining equipment by the provincial government.

The government has also built access roads to the property, installed water and power services and constructed on-site worker accommodations.

While the original mining licence for Nat Son covered 98 acres, the new licence grants Strategic Mining the right to develop on a 245-acre section.
