Eleven miners are reported to have died in an accident at a tin mine in the Rwamagana district of eastern Rwanda on 30 October.
Police spokesman Eric Kayiranga said such accidents are frequent in the small tin ore mines in the region, reports AFP.

“Ten of them were already dead when they were pulled out. The eleventh, who was still alive, was taken to hospital but died there,” Kayiranga said.
