A five-year agreement has been signed between China Coal Geology Engineering Corp and Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group, reports China Daily.

China's coal imports increased to 130 million tons in 2009 compared with the previous year due to a surge in demand, according to China's General Administration of Customs.
