Dynamite stored at the Shuguang coal mine in Rucheng County, Chenzhou City, exploded on Saturday releasing clouds of toxic gas killing underground workers.

Rescue operations have been called off and no miners are reported to still be missing at the mine.

The Shuguang coal mine started operations in 1971 and expanded its capacity in 2008.
