Benguet Corporation and Canada’s Hunter Dickinson entered into a partnership agreement for a copper and gold mining venture in Luzon, Philippines.
Under the agreement, Benguet will explore and develop the 492ha Batong Buhay mine in Kalinga province.
Benguet said the mine contains gold-rich porphyry copper deposits.
Benguet has also entered into an agreement with Balatok Sub-Tribe of Kalinga, validated by the National Commission on Indigenous People, which will be represented by the Balatok-Kalinga Tribe and its mining arm the Balatoc Tribe Exploration & Mining.
Hunter Dickinson supervises publicly traded companies around the globe that specialise in mineral exploration and development.
