Jaguar’s Cascaronal Extraction Begins 2010

Jaguar Mining said that iron ore extraction activities at its Cascaronal Mine in Mexico is expected to begin on 19 January 2010.

Jaguar has teamed up with a local company to start construction of roads to enable iron-ore extraction and transportation from the mining site.

The Cascaronal Mine contains 20 million tonnes of estimated reserves and at full capacity the mine will generate 25,000t per month.

Production at the mine is scheduled to begin in January and a ramp-up in output will be completed by April.
