Brazil Gold has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Software Sciences Corporation (SSC) to launch a new exploration technology initiative.

According to the MoU, both the firms will work together to jointly develop the Unified Pattern Processing (UPP) minerals exploration application.

UPP is a patented pattern recognition technology, which uses proprietary algorithms and artificial intelligence programmes, which can find relationships in organised or unorganised databases that are often missed by model bias.

SSC will provide technological development, service and support, and Brazil Gold will provide project management, sales and marketing services to promote the product.

Brazil Gold CEO Phillip Jennings said that the industry must employ enhanced technological tools to cut costs and increase productivity, as minerals become more precious and difficult to find.
