CIL to Invest $6bn in Indian Mining Projects

Coal India is planning to invest about INR280bn ($6.2bn) in 68 coal mining projects in India, which have a production capacity of 230 million tonnes per annum. The investment will fund Western Coalfield's 16 projects in Maharashtra and Central Coalfield's 13 projects in Jharkhand.

Funds will also be allocated to 13 projects of South Eastern Coalfield in Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, reports The Economic Times.
