Australia-based contracting group VDM Group has secured a $40m contract from BHP Billiton to provide haulage services at its nickel operations in Kambalda.

VDM's subsidiary Cape Crushing and Earthmoving Contractors will implement the contract over a five-year period.

CCEC is currently engaged in providing ore haulage and services for contracts signed earlier with BHP Billiton Nickel West.

Previously, other VDM subsidiaries have secured construction contracts worth $23.5m while its consulting division received $3m, reports thewest.com.au.
