Uranerz Receives Material Licence for US Uranium Project

The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued Uranerz Energy with a materials licence for its Nichols Ranch ISR uranium project located in the Central Powder River Basin of Wyoming, US. Uranerz will now commence on-site construction activities in the coming days.

The firm has initiated procurement of ion exchange equipment, including three sand filters and six resin loading columns.

The firm has also received well field installation equipment, including a cement silo, cementing pressure pump units, mixing trucks and well casing.

Uranerz Energy CEO and president Glenn Catchpole said that with receipt of the materials licence, the firm has completed the final step the of NRC licensing process, and will focus on the development and planned operation of the project.
