Metso has received an order to supply minerals processing equipment to Taigang Group Lanxian Mining's Yuanjiacun iron ore processing plant in Lan county, China.

Metso will supply seven units of vertical plate pressure filters, wear and spare parts, and provide services related to installation, start-up, commissioning and technical supervision.

The Yuanjiacun plant is designed to have daily processing capacity of 22,000t-23,000t of iron ore concentrate, and is expected to commence operations in May 2012.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Upon completion, the Yuanjiacun plant will be the largest iron ore processing plant in China, with a processing capacity of 22 million tons of raw iron a year.
