Global Engineering firm Metso has won a €200m contract to supply minerals processing equipment and services to Russia's ZAO for its Mikheevsky GOK copper project in Chelyabinskya, south-western Russia.
Under the contract, Metso will supply a primary gyratory crusher, three cone crushers, two semiautogenous grinding mills, three screens and three ball mills for the new Mikheevsky GOK copper concentrator.
Metso will also provide on-site supervisory services for the installation and commissioning, and on-site training for the Russian firm's operating personnel.
The company will offer maintenance, planning and operational assistance, and process and product support services, along with wear and spare parts and components for the comminution circuit.
The Mikheevsky GOK project is expected to commence operations in the third quarter of 2013, with an annual production of 18Mt of copper.
