Nevada Copper has received all the state and county permits required to begin development of underground access to the Eastern deposits of the Pumpkin Hollow project in Nevada, US.

The firm has received two water pollution control permits, and a reclamation permit from the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP).

The three-phase exploration programme will include advanced exploration, a 8,000tpd mine / mill operation, and a 60,000tpd open pit mine feeding a separate mill facility optimised for maximum copper recovery from the open pit.

Nevada Copper vice-president and senior project manager Greg French said with the permits, the firm will be able to conduct drilling from underground drill stations in the East and E2 deposits and to obtain bulk samples for confirmatory metallurgical testing.
