Taseko Mines has submitted a new plan for its Prosperity gold-copper project to the Canadian Government.

The plan reduces the project's environmental impact and enables all mine operations and related components to be contained within one single watershed.

The plans were made according to the Environmental Assessment Terms of Reference and the project has been advanced with provincial and federal agencies, as well as with First Nations groups.

Taseko Mines president and CEO Russell Hallbauer said that government agencies and departments will be able to rely on significant portions of the previously completed environmental assessments to inform the new assessment.
