Ausdrill Secures Contracts in Africa and Australia

Subsidiaries of Ausdrill, a mining and exploration company, have been awarded four contracts in Africa and Australia.

Ausdrill's East African subsidiary, Ausdrill Zambia, has secured an exploration contract with BHP Billiton in Western Zambia for an initial period of one year, with the option of an extension for another year.

Ausdrill's African Mining Services joint venture has renegotiated the exploration drilling contract with Newmont for the Ahafo gold mine located in Ghana.

In addition, Ausdrill Mining Services (AMS) has entered into a contract with Central Norseman Gold Corporation in Norseman, Western Australia, which will generate approximately $25m in revenue over 36 months.

The contract includes provision of equipment hire, maintenance services and labour hire for the North Royal open pit.

AMS has also secured a four-year contract with Kimberley Metals Group at the Ridges iron ore project for $34m.

The project, which is expected to commence in March 20ll includes hiring and maintaining mining equipment.
