Trimex to Build Two Titanium Projects

The company will set up its first plant in Andhra Pradesh, India, by 2014, and will invest INR22.5bn ($490m) in the project.

The plant will have a production capacity of 44,000t per annum.

Trimex's subsidiary, Trimex Sands, has also signed an $850m deal with the Indonesian Government to develop a titanium pigment plant in the country in the next eight to ten years, with a production capacity of 46,000t per annum.

Trimex Group chairman Pradeep Koneru said the integrated titanium complex in Indonesia will expand the company's reach in the global market and widen its product mix.
