Australia's Haranga Resources has discovered a large, intense magnetic anomaly at the Sumber iron ore project in Mongolia.

A magnetic survey reported that the identified iron mineralisation is coincident with an intense magnetic anomaly approximately 4km in length and 0.5-1km in width.

The iron ore project, located less than 50km from the Chinese border crossing at Hangi Mandal, consists of Mongolian exploration licence 14568X in Dornogobi province in south-eastern Mongolia.

The company is planning to drill the iron ore targets at Sumber this year as part of a first pass scout RC drilling programme.
