Sparton will undertake a technical and commercial review of the vanadium development programme in the Jiangxi province of China with a specific emphasis on vanadium operations by Jiangxi Rentian Mining.

The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Xiushui county, Jiangxi province and the owners of Jiangxi Rentian Mining.

Xiushui county has five vanadium-related projects under development, including Sparton's Guojiaping vanadium exploration programme, which is a joint venture with Jiangxi Nuclear Exploration Team 267.

Sparton has submitted a comprehensive proposal to the Xiushui Government and Rentian for the evaluation and possible restructuring of the vanadium production assets and mining operations in the area.
