GlobalData Epidemiologist Report: Global Covid cases near 33.7 million – lockdowns becoming more widespread

Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 33,692,000 with over 1,008,000 deaths and 23,414,000 recoveries.

New restrictions are being enacted around the world to help curb the resurgence of the virus.

Finland, Poland, and Germany have all resumed restrictions on bars, restaurants, and large gatherings.

Along these same lines New York City will begin issuing fines for those not wearing a mask in public as the rate of positive tests climbs above 3%.

India reported more than 80,000 new cases in the last 24 hours, leading the world in new infections over this time period.
