CIMIC Group subsidiary UGL has secured contracts to provide services for maintenance, shutdowns and sustaining capital projects for its mining clients in Western Australia.

CIMIC noted that these contracts are valued at A$180m (approximately $123.4m).

Under the new contracts, which will be executed over a three-year period, UGL will provide mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and other access services.

UGL is set to deliver these services for Alcoa at the Wagerup and Pinjarra sites in Western Australia’s Peel region.

The company will also deliver maintenance, shutdown and project services for multiple clients within the Bowen Basin of Queensland.

CIMIC Group CEO Michael Wright said: “These contract awards demonstrate UGL’s position as a market leader in the Australian mining industry for the delivery of maintenance and mechanical, electrical and instrumentation access services.”
