Global Guidelines for Safe Installation and Maintenance of Medium Voltage (MV) Equipment
The high reliability performance of medium voltage (MV) equipment is dependent upon early consideration of safety-related issues. In fact, personal safety is enhanced when safety-related issues are addressed early in the equipment deployment cycle.
Many reliable designs have been compromised or have experienced electrical fault issues due to nothing more than a lack of safety planning during the design and installation processes. The electrical risk which is present during installation and service-related activities is compounded by the increased complexity of new, more technologically advanced power networks.
This paper reviews the conditions that impact risk levels, both in terms of occurrence probability and severity. Guidance is provided on how to manage these risks. Download to find out more.
