Leading mining product designer and manufacturer Austin Engineering recently undertook an initiative to achieve a national safety standard across its Australian operations.

Austin’s Mackay (QLD) operation, incorporating Austbore and Muswellbrook (NSW) operations, have joined the Brisbane (QLD) and Perth (WA) operations in obtaining accreditation. This means that all Australian operations of Austin Engineering are now safety standard accredited.

The Brisbane, Mackay and Muswellbrook operations are accredited to:

  • AS/NZS4801: 2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – Specification with Guidance for Use
  • BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – Requirements

Austin’s Perth operation is accredited to:

  • AS/NZS4801: 2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – Specification with Guidance for Use
