IntelliSense.io has announced the appointment of Jean Hu as its new chief financial officer (CFO) to support the company in its next phase of growth and innovation.
Jean joins the company at its inflexion point as it gears up to deliver on new global customers and partners who came on board towards the end of 2018.
“The company faces classic scale-up challenges as we continue to build on our success in the mining industry,” commented Sam G Bose, founder and CEO. “We are delighted that Jean chose to join us in the exciting phase of the company as her multifaceted Industry and Private equity experience will be essential in managing this growth and executing a creative growth financing strategy for us.”
Jean comes from Rio Tinto with years of experience in managing international stakeholders and executing project financing and divestments across various operating units covering Tier 1 assets.
She gained extensive valuation and investment experience at Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group, a proprietary investment team, and subsequently a family investment office on structuring and financing Industrial assets to execute their turnaround growth strategies in Europe.
“I’m privileged to have this opportunity in joining this amazing team at such a critical phase of company’s development,” said Jean. “The team at IntelliSense.io have already established an enviable track record of applying AI to solve some of the Mining industry’s intractable challenges of decreasing ore grade, higher energy and water cost and an engaged stakeholder group who are challenging the entire Industry to transform themselves. I am looking forward to playing my part in supporting the Industry’s transformation over the next decade.”
Today’s announcement follows on the heels of a multi-year quadrupling growth for the company, as well as further expansion of its operations in Latin America and Central Asia.
