Dwyer Engineering and Construction is a multidiscipline fabrication company providing a complete range of services for mine equipment. We specialise in turnkey projects, providing complete mine equipment packages incorporating detailing, fabrication, surface treatment, transport and installation.

Fabrication drawings for mine equipment

Our in-house detailing service provides the highest-standard fabrication drawings for mine equipment and utilises the latest 3D modelling CAD software suites, such as Prosteel and Tekla, which have been effective in ensuring high-quality outcomes.

The computer programs enable provision of details including fabrication drawings, dxf files, nc1 files, assembly lists, cutting lists and bolt lists at any stage throughout the project process.

Fabrication workshop for mine equipment

Our fabrication workshop for mine equipment is purpose-built for structural steel, with incoming material and processing at one end of the workshop to create a workflow that is as quick as possible without compromising on end quality. We also fabricate tanks, chutes, pipes, spools and pressure vessels.

Dwyer Engineering provides a painting facility for mine equipment.
Our painting facility includes a fully recyclable grit blasting room which is 6m wide, 6m high and 24m long, the largest in Western Australia.

Equipment at the workshop includes two overhead cranes, a 6,000m² lay down area, three mobile yard cranes, and a 6m wide x 6m high x 24m long steel grit blastroom (including a fully reclaimable grit and waste-recovery extraction unit).

Our capacity is around 70t-100t of structural fabrication and surface treatment a week, depending on the package size and paint specification.

The majority of our clients request fabrication of carbon-steel mine equipment, but we can also fabricate in stainless steel, dua plates, bisalloy and other unusual materials. Our boilermakers and welders are fully qualified to both AS3992 and AS1554 and are supervised by a welding inspector.

The progress and tracking system maintained for each client and project is visible to clients over the Internet if requested.

Beam line for beams, columns and channels

In 2006, Dwyer Engineering invested in a state-of-the-art beam line that drills, stamps and copes beams, columns and channels with the highest precision. This minimises the impact of human errors. The beam line enables processing of 100t of medium-sized steel per week. This capacity is increased when dealing with heavier sections of steel.

To eliminate errors we have implemented quality controls for the entire process.

Painting facility for mine equipment

Dwyer Engineering provides a painting facility, which has been developed over the past few years and is continuously improved and upgraded. Our painting facility includes a fully recyclable grit blasting room which is 6m wide, 6m high and 24m long, the largest in Western Australia. Our enclosed and roofed paint shed is over 3,000m².

Our blasters/painters have extensive experience in industrial, mining, oil and gas applications, and take quality control and quality assurance very seriously. Paint reports are supplied with every painting job including blast profiles, ambient conditions, relative humidity, dry bulb, steel temperature, dew point and thickness tests, all according to applicable Australian standards. We have been ISO quality certified since 2005.

If requested we are able to pick up steel at your premises and deliver the painted steel afterwards.

Transportation of fabricated mine equipment

Dwyer Engineering is also able to supply loading and transport in our package. We manage the transportation of fabricated mine equipment all over Australia. The process includes safe and non-destructive loading, to ensure efficient use of space, facilitate organised unloading and ensure steel arrives at the site on-time. Oversized equipment and escorts can be accommodated.

Installation of fabricated mine equipment

We can also install your fabricated mine equipment.
