CMX Continues to Ship Big

Five Excavators needed to make their way from Australia to Mongolia – weighing in at 1,848.50CBM / 660mt, needing to be static and loaded and lashed to MAFI roll trailer.

They were shipped RO/RO (roll-on, roll-off). The challenge for CMX was the need for full dismantle of all machines, requiring multiple shore crane lifts to be used and 25+ MAFI roll trailers, all were shipped on one vessel.

Even bigger than this job was the nine CATERPILLAR MT4400’s that needed to make their way from Bunbury, Western Australia to Mackay, Queensland.

Mining trucks weighing 200t needed to be disassembled in order to be transported from origin site to port of loading then rebuilt in the port for shipping. All together it was 8,660.355 CBM / 2,160mt of cargo, using single crane lifts and a part chartered vessel.

CMX completed both these deliveries without an issue and affirmed the professional, efficient and capable name they’ve made for themselves.

Thanks to CMX’s project management expertise and strong transportation capabilities, it has continued to be successful and take on any task set by its clients.
