Dropsafe, the leading global provider of Dropped Object prevention technology, will be attending AIMEX 2019 and exhibiting at stand G145. The Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition will see hundreds of Mining industry suppliers come together at Asia-Pacific’s largest conference. Dropsafe will be exhibiting its full range of prevention systems for Australian mining firms, including the Dropsafe Net, Pouch and Barrier System.

This follows the announcement of Dropsafe’s new exclusive distributor partnership with Pacific Automation, the Australia-based provider of industrial equipment to the Mining industry. The partnership will bolster Dropsafe’s regional presence as the market seeks to tackle prominent safety, reputational and financial risks posed by Dropped Object incidents at Australian mining sites. Pacific Automation will also be exhibiting at AIMEX 2019, alongside Dropsafe on stand G145.

The adoption of Dropsafe’s Net, Pouch and Barrier products into the Pacific Automation equipment range shows critical role that Dropped Object prevention technology has to play in the overall health and safety strategy of mining site owners and managers.

While the industry continues to adopt Dropped Object prevention solutions, the risk remains prominent. In 2017, 8% of work-related injuries in Australia were caused by being hit by a falling object.

The Australian mining sector has an opportunity to set a benchmark for Dropped Object prevention, tackling a four-fold threat. This consists of the risk of injury or fatality to personnel, risk of equipment damage, and their financial and reputational consequences. By adopting impact resistant solutions that have high structural integrity and are manufactured to a high quality, mining companies can demonstrate a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards.

Dropsafe CEO Rob Schlipper said: “This increased demand clearly shows the emphasis that mining operators are putting on managing this prominent risk. Our new distribution partnership signifies that Dropsafe Nets, Pouches and Barriers have become an essential part of the tool kit for Australian mining operators.

Pacific Automation managing director Darren Wright said: “We are really excited to begin our partnership with Dropsafe, as we believe its premium quality products will greatly benefit our customers across a range of applications and work sites. We look forward to working with the team to supply the Dropsafe product range throughout Australia.”

Dropsafe will be exhibiting at AIMEX 2019 in Sydney, Australia on 27 – 29 August at stand G145. Come along to meet the team, or to book a meeting in advance, get in touch at info@dropsafe.com.
