Klondike Gold commences drilling programme in Canada

20 April 2012

Klondike Gold Corp has begun its 1,500m drilling programme at its Lone Star project in Yukon, Canada.

Canadian drilling company CanDrill Global will undertake the programme between the historical Lone Star and Pioneer mines, which will help the company understand the geology of the Lone Star deposit.

Klondike Gold Corp said that the exploration programme will help in developing a more complete model of the Lone Star deposit in the 500m region, which is significantly underexplored.

Drilling will also test undrilled induced polarisation geophysical anomalies from a 2006 Aurora Geoscience survey and a favorable unit in the Klondike schist identified by lithogeochemical studies below the 170m level, the limit of previous drilling.
