Leapfrog

Leapfrog geological modelling developer Aranz Geo has partnered with mine planning and engineering software firm Deswik to integrate their mine technologies.

Aranz Geo CEO Shaun Maloney said: "We are focused on providing Leapfrog customers with valuable integration to deliver the best possible mining software solutions.

"The Leapfrog partner programme brings these specialist providers together so users can switch between programmes and reap the benefits."

Deswik’s interoperability added to the improved Leapfrog Geo 2.2 enables users to create a sub-blocked model, which can be imported into Deswik for subsequent mine planning and estimation.

Deswik’s capabilities are expected to improve Aranz Geo’s workflows in mine planning and operations.

"We have introduced a whole new generation of mining engineering software that overcomes the legacy limitations of the general mining packages."

Leapfrog Geo is a workflow solution that lets users construct multiple models to compare various hypotheses tested against multiple futures, for realistic evaluations.

Deswik managing director Matt Chilcott said: "We have introduced a whole new generation of mining engineering software that overcomes the legacy limitations of the general mining packages, the success of which is evidenced by rapid market acceptance and growth."

The companies will exhibit the new software at the Exponor expo in Antofagasta, Chile, from 11 to 15 May.

A demonstration will be given to visitors explaining how users can integrate Leapfrog Geo’s geological modelling into Deswik Suite’s mine design and scheduling software.
