Orsu Metals Starts Feasibility Study of Kazakh Mine

Orsu Metals Corp has launched a feasibility study for its Karchiga volcanogenic sulphide copper project in north-eastern Kazakhstan.

The feasibility study, expected to cost $4.2m and to be prepared by SRK Consulting, will examine the use of high-quality equipment in order to minimise the project capital costs and seek potential customers for the copper concentrate.

The feasibility study of Karchiga project is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2011, while construction work will begin in the first quarter of 2012 and first production from the mine is expected in early 2013.

Orsu Metals holds a 94.75% stake in the Karchiga sulphide copper project.
