Rusal has resumed production capacity at site no 1 of its Novokuznetsk aluminium smelter.
In March 2009 smelting capacity was suspended as part of the anti-crisis Cost Efficiency Leader programme.
The company said that the site has brought back online 183 pots, with a total of 264 pots expected to be operational by early April.
The smelter's output this year is expected to reach approximately 253,000t, 10% more than last year.
