08 April 2008

Australian miner Moly Mines has awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contract to professional services company WorleyParsons to build its Spinifex Ridge Molybdenum Project.

The 20 million tonne-a-year Spinifex Ridge Copper Project is located approximately 40km east-southeast of the town of Port Hedland in the East Pilbara Shire of Western Australia.

The contract also includes building a treatment plant and related infrastructure at the site, says Moly Mines.

Under the terms of the contract, WorleyParsons will be rewarded for meeting key project milestones including safety, scheduling, budget and cost through to scheduled completion.
