07 April 2008

US Gold Miner Vista Gold has sold its Bolivian mining assets to Australian Republic Gold for US$3m.

Republic will pay in three US$1m instalments, with the first due upon start of commercial production at the Amayapampa project.

This remainder will be paid on the first and second anniversaries of the start of commercial production, the company told Associated Press.

The Amayapampa Project in Bolivia contains 661,000oz measured and indicated gold resources and 59,000oz of inferred gold ounces, says Vista.
