Peru Copper Mine Escapes Quake

Mining at Peru's southernmost big copper mine has not been affected by a massive earthquake that struck northern Chile on Monday.

Officials at Southern Copper's Toquepala mine say the 6.1 magnitude earthquake has not affected mining operations as initially feared.

Peru is the world's second-largest copper producer after China.
