US$1.8bn Deal to Expand Canadian Potash Mine

Canadian mining company PotashCorp has awarded a US$1.8bn contract to international engineering and project management company AMEC.

The four-year contract will expand the company's Rocanville potash mine in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The expansion is expected to enable production of an additional two million tonnes of potash per year.
