Australian mining company Moly Mines has awarded a A$1.1bn, seven-year mining and earthmoving contract for its A$1.07bn Spinifex Ridge molybdenum project in Western Australia to Perth-based contracting group Macmahon Holdings Ltd.
Mining development will commence mid-year at the project, which is expected to produce 10,800t per annum of molybdenum and copper concentrates for more than 20 years.
