Energy Resources to Extend Ranger Mine

28 September 2007

Darwin-based mining company Energy Resources of Australia has extended mining at its Ranger operating pit, adding an additional 4,857t of contained uranium oxide.

The company has also announced it will commit A$10m to further feasibility and expansion studies next year.

Energy says the majority of the additional production from the extension is due in 2011 and processing at the pit is scheduled to end in 2020.
