International mining services group Orica is to buy US mining services firm Excel Mining Systems for AU$779m.
Orica has signed an agreement with a consortium led by affiliates of private equity company Snow Phipps Group, to acquire all of the Excel business.
The key senior management of Excel is expected to remain with the business, according to Australia's AAP news.
