Beacon Drills Amongst The Barlee

17 September 2007

Australian minerals exploration company Beacon Minerals has begun drilling at the Barlee Gold Project, in the relatively under-expored goldfields region of Western Australia.

The company says the drilling programme will aim at extending shallow gold mineralisation as well as testing for potential new sites along prospective shear zones.

The company has been actively exploring the Barlee Gold Project since February 2007, with intercepts at Halleys East, Faith and Phil

The site is located 200km north of Southern Cross, covering an area of over 400km2. The programme is expected to take three-four weeks to complete.
