Southern Australia is top of its game in exploration expenditure as new figures reveal a significant increase in weekly listings of junior explorers.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics in Canberra (ABS) shows exploration expenditure has risen by 36% to A$502.5m in the June quarter.
The June quarter's figures show Western Australia's share of Australia's mineral exploration spend has crept back above the 50% mark from A$179.9m to A$251.8m, according to The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC).
